Anticoagulant Clinic POC (Point Of Care)
Patients on long term Warfarin treatment may benefit from INR testing in the specialised Point of Care (POC) clinic.
A finger prick blood sample is taken. The result is immediately available and the patient is given a prescription with the required Warfarin dose.
Patients need to have a stable INR level to be eligible to attend POC and be referred by the Health Centre GPs or Consultants.
Clinic runs on: Tuesday and Friday by appointment.

Chronic Kidney Disease Prevention Clinic
This clinic is open on Sundays and Public Holidays (according to roster of Officer) from 8.00am to 12.00 MD.
Scope - To educate and monitor patients that have kidney disease and so prevent further deterioration of their condition. Referrals from Health Centre GP/Private GP.
You may be referred to this clinic by the Health Centre Doctor, your family doctor or from Diabetes Clinic Mater Dei Hospital.
For your first visit you will receive an appointment notice by post.
Follow-up appointments are given during visits.
An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a record of the electrical signals from one’s heart. An ECG is a nonivasive, pailess test used to detect or monitor the status of one’s heart in many situations. It is a common and well established test that a doctor working in health centre often orders to help in detecting or monitoring particular heart conditions that might present with particular symptomology.
This clinic is open on alternate Wednesdays 7.45am till 12.45pm. You will be referred for an ECG by your doctor who has to fill in a ticket of referral to Kirkop Health Centre, or by the Health Centre doctor who fills in a Health Centre ECG request form. Patient is then given an appointment at the reception. The consultant physician will issue a report on your ECG, and you will have a follow-up appointment to review the ECG.

Open Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. After 8pm patients are to report to Paola Health Centre.
Saturdays 8am to 1pm. After 1pm patients are to report to Paola Health Centre.
Please note that Saturday after 1pm, Sundays and Public Holidays, urgent GP services from Paola Health Centre.
No appointment is required for repeat prescriptions. Please bring the green Treatment Card with your updated current treatment together with POYC vouchers/card.

Routine cutting of toenails is performed only for High Risk patients, for any active nail pathologies, over 75 years old, or as deemed necessary by the podiatrist.

Monitoring and recording of children's development and advice on immunisation and feeding.
After your baby is born, you will automatically be referred from the Post-Natal Ward at Mater Dei Hospital. If your baby was born at a private clinic or hospital, you can still phone for an appointment at the clinic.
Routine visits are necessary when your baby is:
- 6 - 10 weeks old
- 8 months old
- 18 months old.
These visits require an appointment which you will receive from the Well Baby Clinic.
The 6-10 week examination is usually booked on the same day as the first vaccination is due.
Please bring the 'Baby's Book' you are given at the Post-Natal Ward, and the Parent`s ID card.
If the Parent cannot accompany the Child, a written consent from the Parent should be brought by the accompanying person together with both the Parent`s ID card and that of the accompanying person. This letter will be kept by the Nurse.
Between 12:30pm and 2pm parents may call to check their baby's weight

Postnatal: on discharge from Mater Dei Obstetric Unit (upon Mother's request) an appointment will be sent by post from the Health Centre.
Maternal Health Needs Assessment Clinic: This clinic is run by Midwives. Every woman (antenatal or postnatal) will be seen by the Midwife prior to the visit by the Doctor.
Cervical Screening: referred from the National Cervical Screening Department.
