Where is Medical Assessment Unit 1?
MAU1 is located in the ORANGE block level 0, on top of the corridor leading to the A&E.

What constitutes MAU1?
MAU1 is a 24/7 admission unit, receiving patients from most specialties (medical, surgical, ortho, urology etc...). The ward is a short stay environment, with patients being discharged or transferred to other wards within 48 hours.

Meal times
Patients are not offered the opportunity to order their meals due to their short stay in the ward. However, a food  trolley offers a variety of set menus.

Breakfast: 7:30am
Lunch: 11:30am
Dinner: 5:30pm

Visiting hours
Monday to Sunday (including public holidays):
11:30 to 13:00 (2 visitors at any one time)
15:00 to 20:00 (2 visitors at any one time)

Although MAU1 is designated to adhere with normal hospital visiting hours, the staff is however extremely leniant with relatives, especially those whose loved ones are seriously ill.
